Donny Abrams is the Head of Production at Horizon Shine. His career began as an auditor and analyst on big budget commercials and music videos. The knowledge gained in this capacity along with a few years production assistance andset experience led to assignments as Unit Production Manager on multi-million dollar plus productions for companies like Propaganda Films, The End, and Satellite Films. Abrams has spent the past few years as Producer and Assistant Director for both regional and international clients like Coca Cola of Brazil, Davene (with Nastassja Kinski) and Grendene (with Dean Cain and Terri Hacher.) He has also line-produced the live action portions of the CD-ROM game “Bluestar” (with LeVar Burton) and the main titles for the MSNBC Network and German Emmy Awards (with Joseph the Lion) for Novocom. He has also served as Segment Producer/Director/Interviewer for corporate and industrial productions for clients like Premiere Networks, Honda, Burger King and the National Cable Television Association. Working with talent and dialogue has become a strong suite by virtue of dealing with celebrities, executives and international clients along with set experience and previous acting and writing experiences. Now, with 10 years film production experience, Abrams boasts an impressive resume. His UPM credits include the 1990 MTV Music Video Award-winning “Would?” by Alice in Chains for the movie “Singles” and the Home Video Associations 1993 Fitness Video of the Year, “Ali McGraw’s Yoga”. His commercial credits include corporate giants like Coca Cola, Miller Genuine Draft and Budweiser Beer. Additional music video credits include Meatloaf, Stevie wonnder, Michael Bolton, Coolio, and Michael Jackson. Donny spent the year of 1991 as a staff coordinator for Propaganda Live!, a live performance lighting and staging division (The Genesis Tour, Hammer, Japanese star Yumi Matsutoya) of Propaganda Films. Originally from Chicago, Abrams relocated to Los Angeles after receiving his MBA of Finance and Management from DePaul University in 1987. |
