Robert Nackman Founder / President
Robert Nackman is the founder and president of Horizon Shine. His desire to be directly involved in the creative and physical production of films along with the entreprenurial world of developing directors and providing production services led to the birth of Horizon Shine.
Prior to the founding of Horizon Shine, Nackman served as Production Supervisor for Propaganda Films from 1989 through 1995. During that six year period. Propaganda Films went from a company with a handful of directors stepping into commercial production, to become one of the top international commercial and music video production companies with over 20 directors.
Nackman began his career in the field of public accounting and shortly after joined the real estate development industry. The ensuing years in Los Angeles led Robert to naturally segue into the film industry. He then repositioned himself as a Film and Television Profit Participation Auditor where he gained valuable film production and diistribution knowledge while representing the interests of clients such as Gene Roddenberry and his Star Trek series of projects, as well as Cher in her Oscar winning Role in Moonstruck. This experience led him to an association with Propaganda Films and their production of commercials, music videos, television and films.
Nackman graduated from the University of Florida in 1984 with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and earned his California CPA certification in 1985
